1. The Cut
There is a difference between no show socks and truly invisible socks, depending on your choice of footwear. For those who wear ballet flats or loafers, you want a lower cut. ONDO Low-Cut No Show Socks fit at the heel and slip just over the toes at the front. The sides are low along both sides of the foot, meaning they sit unseen in nearly any shoe.
2. The Grip
The best no show socks have some sort of grip to keep them snug. Certain brands have rubber dots or smaller patches, which run the risk of providing inadequate “anchoring” at the heel. ONDO’s socks have a patented silicone strip that wraps entirely around the heel, preventing them from slipping all day and through any activity.
3. The Material
Many consider organic cotton blends, or even 100% cotton socks to be best. This is a bit of a myth. Most organic cotton socks contain a blend of cotton plus a material like lycra or polyester for a stretchier, more airy feel.
At ONDO, we agree that cotton offers breathability, absorbs moisture, and is soft and hypoallergenic on the skin. The cotton we use adheres to the Organic Cotton Standard (OCS), so you can trust that the cotton on your feet is sustainably produced, from seed to sewn.
The bottoms of our Low-Cut No Show Socks are 64% certified organic cotton, blended with aerolight polyester and spandex for stretch and mobility. For the sock body, we combine Aqua-X nylon and spandex for additional moisture-wicking performance and a cooling effect.
4. The Fit And Sizing
Finding a balance between function and comfort can be tricky. You want socks that fit snugly without being too tight. Too loose, and you can experience uncomfortable slipping or bunching, defeating the purpose of invisible socks. ONDO Low-Cut No Show Socks offer just enough coverage so you can walk confidently and in style.
They come in sizes ranging from XS to XL. This spans US sizing for men’s 3-4 and women’s 4.5-5.5 up to men’s 15 and women’s 16.5. And it accommodates European sizing from 34.5 to 49. For in-betweeners, we recommend sizing down, and for those with wide feet, sizing up can provide the best fit.
